NARRA (local)
is known for its sturdiness and extreme resistance to termites and other insects. It is also resistant to preservative treatment and decay. It has good weathering characteristics.
While it is often yellowish to purplish in color, it can be stained in a variety of finishes for use in furniture and accessories, and as a furnishing material for interiors.
The texture is moderately fine to moderately coarse and uneven, depending on the tree's ring and pore structure. Interlocked grain can be wavy. The wood has innate luster and natural fragrant odor. It is considered easy to work with both hand and machine tools with a slight blunting effect. The wood can easily be nailed or glued and stains and finishes well. Narra is an excellent turnery wood. It has a durable heartwood.
Average height is 100 feet with diameters of 3 feet. Average weight is 41 pounds per cubic foot although darker wood tends to be heavier

MAHOGANY
is known for having a pleasing straight, fine grade and is fairly free of defects and knots. Mahogany's reddish-brown color tends to darken over time, and when polished, it produces a very attractive reddish shine. The wood is very durable and has good workability.

OAK
is known to be durable and heavy. It also lasts for a lifetime because of that. The Oak wood comes in two shades, red oak, which is reddish, and white oak, which comes in colors brown or grey. Its wavy grains will give your furniture a distinctive look that makes it eye-catchy in your home.

PINE

MOLAVE (Vitex)
One of the hardest local woods, molave has a fine texture that makes it smooth to the touch. It's available in pale yellow to pinkish-brownish tone, lightly colored, deepening with age; hard to very hard; straight-grained to slightly interlocked or wavy; and fine to moderately fine-textured. It has no distinct odor.

KAMAGONG / EBONY
One of the most beautiful types of wood, Kamagong, is known for its color that ranges from dark brown to a deep black. With a black heartwood inner region and gray sapwood this produces really dramatic dark timber hence the name. Luster, described as metallic. It is known for its hardness and resistance to impact.

YAKAL
This resinous wood with yellow to golden-red tones is another local mahogany

ACACIA MANGIUM and ACACIA RAINTREE
Acacia Mangium is a plantation wood species available in Imported logs or sawn and/or non certified but still legal and sustainable Philippine supply. Used for: Flooring, indoor and outdoor furniture.

ALDER
is one of the softest woods in the hardwood family, just above pine and poplar. It has a bending strength (in PSI) of 9,800, making it pliable but relatively soft. These properties make it an excellent option for cabinetry, bedding, and other decorative furniture inside the home.

ASH
is strong, durable and generally light in color. It is coarse but the grain is fairly straight. As a result of its strength and durability, ash wood has an array of uses but is commonly used in the making of tools, furniture and frames or decorative panels.
